The State Meteorological Agency forecasts a maximum temperature of 31 degrees in Málaga this Sunday, clear skies, and winds of up to 28 km/h. The night will drop to 24 degrees, with little cloud cover.

On Sunday, 7th of July, Málaga will wake up to a virtually clear sky. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the maximum temperature will reach 31 degrees Celsius, while the nighttime minimum will be around 24 degrees.

The probability of rain is nil throughout the day, with cloud cover not exceeding 1% during the central hours. At night, cloud cover will slightly rise to 5%, but with no risk of precipitation.

Winds and UV radiation: what you need to know

Wind gusts will blow with moderate strength: up to 28 kilometres per hour during the day and around 20 km/h at night. This is a point to consider for those planning outdoor activities or water sports along the coast.

The ultraviolet radiation index will reach a level of 11, considered extremely high. Aemet recommends avoiding sun exposure between 12 and 4 PM, using high-factor sunscreen, and wearing a hat and sunglasses.

For residents of the capital and tourists enjoying the beaches of the Costa del Sol, the day will be ideal for swimming and strolls, always with caution against the sun.

A Mediterranean climate with its own character

Málaga enjoys an average annual temperature of 18.5 degrees, with mild winters where frost is rarely recorded. In summer, temperatures often exceed 30 degrees, but the humidity from the Mediterranean makes it feel warmer.

A characteristic phenomenon of the city is the terral, a dry wind that can spike temperatures up to 44 degrees at night. Fortunately, its presence is not expected this Sunday.

Rainfall in Málaga is concentrated in just 42 days a year, mainly between November and January, when torrential rains occur. Summer, on the other hand, is dry and stable, as will be the case this 7th of July.

Tips for enjoying the day

With a cloudless sky and pleasant temperatures, the day invites outdoor plans. The beach bars of Malagueta or the terraces in the historic centre will be a good refuge during the hottest hours.

For early risers, the sunrise at Monte Gibralfaro offers spectacular views of the bay, with an initial temperature of around 24 degrees. As the morning progresses, the heat will increase.

In short, a typically Málaga Sunday: sun, beach, and good temperatures. Don't forget the sunscreen and a bottle of fresh water.
