Real Betis Balompié will face UD Almería next Saturday, August 1 at 20:00 in the Municipal Stadium Ciudad de La Línea de la Concepción, thus concluding their pre-season stage in Marbella.
The verdiblanco team, which is finalising their preparations on the Costa del Sol, has scheduled a new test for the second week of their concentration in Marbella. The match against the Almerians will take place on August 1 at 20:00 in the linense stadium, just three days after facing Olympique de Lyon.
Two matches in four days in La Línea
The squad led by Manuel Pellegrini will arrive in Marbella on July 27 from Germany, where they have completed the first stage. After a day of rest, the Betis players will train in the Malaga city before travelling to La Línea to face Olympique de Lyon on Wednesday, July 29.
The second and final commitment in the Cadiz town will be against UD Almería, a team newly promoted to the First Division. The match will allow Pellegrini to distribute minutes among his players and continue fine-tuning the starting eleven ahead of the LaLiga start.
A summer of kilometres for Betis
Before arriving in the province of Malaga, Betis spent a week in Germany, where they stayed at the Hotel-Residence Klosterpforte in North Rhine-Westphalia. There, they will play their first friendly on July 18 against SF Lotte.
Upon returning to Seville, the team will play two matches in Andalusia: on July 22 against Recreativo de Huelva in the Trofeo Colombino, and on July 25 against Granada CF in the Trofeo Ciudad de Granada. After their stay in Marbella, the expedition will travel to Dublin on August 3 to face Arsenal on the 5th.
The pre-season will conclude on August 8 with a presentation match against their fans at the Estadio de La Cartuja, against AFC Bournemouth from the Premier League. Betis, which has already completed medical check-ups on July 7 and 8, aims to be in top condition for the league start.
For the Malaga fan, the opportunity to see Betis in action during their concentration in Marbella is an incentive. Although the matches are played in La Línea, the proximity allows fans from the province to travel and enjoy top-level football. The stage on the Costa del Sol has become a regular fixture in Betis' pre-season, which values the facilities and climate of the area.
