The Marbella City Council has acquired a premises for €160,000 in Ramón Martínez square, in the Marbella East district, to provide a stable base for the Citizen Participation delegation after years of relocations.
The Marbella City Council has formalised the purchase of a premises located at number 1 Ramón Martínez square for €160,000, excluding taxes, with the aim of designating it as the headquarters for the Citizen Participation delegation in the Marbella East district.
The acquisition has been completed following an open bidding process by the Council, and the price paid corresponds to the base budget of the bidding. The premises will replace the space that was previously used in the area of the Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas municipal stadium, which is unavailable due to construction work.
According to the Council, the former facilities are under renovation and the delegation has been left without an assigned space to carry out its activities. During this time, other temporary facilities have been used, such as the former Official School of Languages, until the construction of the official housing promotion for young people began, which has now been completed.
Subsequently, a premises on Alonso de Ojeda street was used, which became unavailable when the rental contract that allowed its use ended. In light of this situation, the delegation has deemed it
“absolutely necessary”to have a new suitable space in the Marbella East district to
“properly carry out all the functions and tasks”assigned to it.
With this purchase, Citizen Participation aims to provide stability to its facilities in the area after several years of relocations. The new premises will allow residents of the district to have a fixed point for carrying out procedures and participating in the department's activities.
