The El Fuerte neighbourhood will host a fun activity on Monday, August 31, to raise awareness about the risks of alcohol and substance use, organised by the 'Eracis+' programme in collaboration with the ALFARO association.
The Ronda City Council, through the Citizen Participation delegation, has presented an awareness-raising activity about alcohol and substance use that will take place in the El Fuerte neighbourhood on Monday, August 31, from 19:00 to 20:30.
This initiative is part of the Intervention Plan in Disadvantaged Areas and is driven by the 'Eracis+' programme, which is being developed in this neighbourhood and in Dehesa with funding from European funds and the Junta de Andalucía.
The municipal delegate for Citizen Participation, Cristina Durán, presented the activity alongside representatives from the ALFARO association, the Association of Alcoholics and Families of Ronda, which will provide information and advice on substance use and tools to overcome addictions.
The president of ALFARO, Manuel Pérez, explained that it will be a fun proposal aimed at people of all ages, with the background of encouraging participants to be aware of the consequences of consumption. Pérez thanked the Ronda City Council and the 'Eracis+' programme for the idea on such a significant date as the day before the start of the Feria de Pedro Romero, a time when, he stated, "the consumption of alcohol is very normalised without considering that it can lead to abuse."

The activity is open not only to the residents of El Fuerte but to anyone who wishes to attend. It will take place on Monday, August 31, from 19:00 to 20:30 in the El Fuerte neighbourhood.
