The City Council of Málaga has launched a special mobility plan for the 2026 Fair with public transport as the main focus. The Málaga Transport Company (EMT) is reinforcing schedules and services, and introducing line F, which will connect the city centre with the Real Cortijo de Torres for a price of 2 euros, 50 cents more than the regular single ticket.
The main change affects payment: the ticket for line F cannot be paid for with the usual bonobús. It can only be purchased in cash or by credit card, so the City Council recommends having the payment method ready before boarding the bus to avoid confusion at access points.
Line F will operate in all districts and is presented as the direct route to reach the fairgrounds without relying on a car. The City Council insists that access by private vehicle to the perimeter of the Real is complicated during these days, hence the municipal recommendation is clear: leave the car at home and opt for collective transport.
Alternatives to reach the Real
In addition to the EMT, attendees can use the Cercanías train, which will have special schedules during the Fair. The City Council advises checking the current schedules before leaving, as works on the railway network have caused interruptions in some provincial services, such as the train cut between Málaga and Sevilla and the Cercanías C-2.
The plan also includes taxi stops and an area designated for VTC vehicles, intended exclusively for passenger pick-up and drop-off operations. Those opting for these services must head to the points established by the City Council.
Planning the trip thus becomes a recommended preliminary step to enjoy the Fair without setbacks. The offer combines several options depending on the starting point, but the municipal focus is on one idea: attend the Real using public transport.
Residents of the province travelling to Málaga during the Fair will find line F a direct option from the centre, while the Cercanías allows access from other locations in the metropolitan area. For those who prefer the bus, the EMT will expand its services throughout the celebration, although the exact frequencies have not been detailed by the City Council.
