The town of Málaga will host the fourth edition of the international festival of female comic authors and creators Gráficas!, which will begin on November 5, 2026, and run until November 7. This event, organised by the Andalusian Centre for Letters and the Department of Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport, will feature prominent comic authors from France and the USA.

Scheduled activities in Málaga

The festival's opening in Málaga will take place on November 5 at 18:30, with the presence of historical illustrator Ana Miralles and Aneke, who is the author of this year's poster. Alongside them, the director of the Andalusian Centre, Justo Navarro, will introduce the festival's activities.

During the opening, there will be a conversation moderated by Natalia Meléndez, where both authors will share their creative universes. Additionally, the centre will showcase the exhibition 'The Panels of Gráficas!26', which includes original illustrations from the participants, available Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 14:30. This exhibition will later move to other locations in Andalusia.

Programming in the province of Málaga and other locations

The festival in Málaga will also offer various activities such as talks, book presentations with signings, masterclasses, and window displays. On November 6, Carmen Carnero, Ana Galvañ, Marta Kayser, and María Badía will participate, along with a 'drawn concert' by Lisa Blumen and DJ Raki.

For November 7, window displays and meetings with international authors like Leá Mazé and Kelly Sue Deconnick are scheduled. The day will conclude with a collective signing session in Plaza del Obispo at 20:30.

Outside of Málaga, the festival will also reach towns like Fuengirola and Arroyo de la Miel, where Ana Miralles and Aneke will participate on November 6 and 7. In other provinces of Andalusia, talks and related activities will take place starting from November 6.

The festival also introduces 'OFF - Gráficas!', featuring meetings between comic authors and art students in various provinces, starting in Jaén and continuing in Huelva on November 10.

This event aims to promote the work of female comic creators and is supported by several institutions, including the Provincial Council of Málaga and the University of Málaga.
