Singer Dani Fernández has held a massive concert at Marenostrum Fuengirola, as part of his 'La Insurrección Tour', featuring hit songs and a nod to Málaga's promotion.

With the waves crashing just metres from the stage, Dani Fernández demonstrated at Marenostrum Fuengirola why his 'La Insurrección Tour' is one of the most vibrant shows in the Spanish music scene. The artist, who arrived in the Málaga town aboard an Ouigo train, delivered a nearly two-hour concert where he revisited his most well-known tracks and connected with an audience that was engaged from the very first minute.

A start full of strong emotions

After ten o'clock at night, the lights in the venue went out and a large central screen acted as a curtain. Behind it, Dani Fernández's team was ready to kick off with 'Todo cambia', 'Clima tropical', and 'Supersubmarina'. The artist quickly paid tribute to Robe Iniesta with a rendition of 'Si te vas', which the audience sang along to in unison. Tracks like 'Me sabe fatal' and 'Si tus piernas' closed a first act that, according to the visuals, served to deny realities. Between songs, Dani Fernández greeted:

“Good evening Fuengirola, welcome to La Insurrección.”

The night continued with 'Criminal', 'Dile a los demás', 'Inertes', 'Sinvergüenza' – where he recalled his collaboration with Arde Bogotá – and 'Oaxaca', a song inspired by a trip to Mexico due to Leiva. A medley of the greatest hits that his fans had been requesting for some time capped off the first part of the concert.

Intimate moments and a nod to Málaga

One of the warmest moments came with 'Frío', when the artist sat with his back to the audience and attendees lit up their mobile phone flashlights, creating a sky of lights that reflected on the screen. Visibly moved, Dani Fernández exclaimed:

“You are the best.”
The final stretch kicked off with a rock segment that included 'Joderme la vida' and 'Plan fatal', followed by 'La trama principal'. However, the most impactful moment was when he mingled with the audience to sing, practically a cappella, 'Si no te hubieras ido'.

The grand finale came with '¿Y si lo hacemos?', 'Bailemos', and 'Me has invitado a bailar'. Before saying goodbye, the artist donned a Málaga CF shirt to congratulate the fans on their recent promotion, a gesture that sparked euphoria among those present. Dani Fernández recalled his beginnings in the city, when he performed at Sala La Cochera without having a single album released. Now, having become one of the most important artists in the country, he did not stop thanking the audience for their “time and money”, and promised to return “in 2 years”, after a planned break to pave the way for new compositions.

The concert at Marenostrum Fuengirola has been another stop on a tour that continues to reap success. For the residents of the Costa del Sol, the event was a unique opportunity to enjoy an artist in full creative bloom, in a venue that has already established itself as a reference for summer concerts in the province.
