The Fuengirola City Council resumes the free 'Sevillanas Exprés' course to prepare for the Feria del Rosario. Classes will be held on five consecutive Tuesdays starting from August 25 at the auditorium in the park of Spain.

The Fuengirola City Council has announced a new edition of the free 'Sevillanas Exprés' course, an initiative that each year allows locals and visitors to learn or refresh the steps of this traditional dance in preparation for the Feria del Rosario, which will take place from October 6 to 12.

Classes will be held on five consecutive Tuesdays, on August 25 and September 1, 8, 15, and 22, starting at 20:30 hours, in the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium in the park of Spain. The activity will once again be taught by dance teacher Juani Guerrero.

The Councillor for Festivals, Isabel Moreno, has highlighted that "once again we are bringing back this initiative so beloved by the people of Fuengirola, which allows anyone who wants to learn to dance sevillanas, or simply remember their steps, to do so in a simple, fun, and outdoor way, thus preparing for the arrival of our Feria del Rosario."

"Once again we are bringing back this initiative so beloved by the people of Fuengirola, which allows anyone who wants to learn to dance sevillanas, or simply remember their steps, to do so in a simple, fun, and outdoor way, thus preparing for the arrival of our Feria del Rosario," stated Isabel Moreno.

For her part, Juani Guerrero has invited all interested parties to join in, whether starting from scratch or already having prior knowledge. "The important thing is to come with a desire to learn, enjoy, and have a good time. In just a few classes, one can progress a lot and arrive at the Feria eager to dance," she indicated, recommending wearing comfortable shoes.

During the five sessions, participants will be able to learn, remember, and practice the different parts that make up the sevillanas. Each session will be dedicated to learning and perfecting one of the four parts of the dance, while the last session will serve to review and put into practice everything learned.

The activity is open to people of all ages and levels, so no prior experience is necessary. To participate, simply attend the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium on the established dates and times, without the need for prior registration.
