The Palacio de la Paz in Fuengirola will host the opening speech for the Feria del Rosario 2026 tomorrow, 6th October, delivered by the dancer and dance teacher Juani Guerrero. The event will start at 21:30, although the venue doors will open an hour earlier, at 20:30. Entry will be free and open until full capacity.
The organization is managed by the Department of Festivities of the Fuengirola City Council, coordinated by councillor Isabel Moreno, and the event serves as the starting point for the celebrations in honour of the Virgen del Rosario Coronada.
Juana María Guerrero Vega was born in Málaga in 1975 and obtained her qualifications in Spanish Dance and Flamenco at the Conservatorio de Danza de Málaga in 2000. Throughout her career, she has performed in tablaos, stages, fairs, and festivals, and was part of the company of dancer Pepe Marchena.
Since 2015, she has been a member of the jury for the dance championship Vive tu sueño, a national and European competition organized by Dancing Star that brings together academies from all over Spain in disciplines such as flamenco, urban dance, classical, contemporary, and freestyle. She is also the owner of a dance school named after her in Fuengirola and teaches the dance groups of the Senior Citizens' Area of the City Council.
Guerrero initiated the Sevillanas Express classes 30 years ago, alongside the Department of Festivities, with which local residents review the steps each year before the Feria del Rosario begins. In 2019, she received, along with other dance academies in the city, a municipal recognition for her contribution to these festivities.
The City Council invites all residents of Fuengirola to join her tomorrow at this event, which will mark the beginning of the celebrations for the Feria del Rosario 2026.
The opening speech will take place at the Palacio de la Paz at 21:30, with doors opening at 20:30 and free access until the venue is full.
