The Town Hall of Fuengirola has added a magic show to its cultural agenda for August aimed at families. It will take place on Thursday 27th August at 21:00 in the Cristóbal Blanca de Moral auditorium in the Parque de España, with free admission.
The Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, presented the proposal on Thursday, which is led by the illusionist and hypnotist Magic Jose. The councillor encouraged locals and visitors to participate in an evening designed so that "the little ones at home can enjoy an entertaining, fun, and highly participative magic show with their families."
The show, titled 'A Brilliant Show', promises a journey full of illusion and humour in which the audience will play a starring role. The artist will be accompanied by the genie of a magic lamp, who will help him develop various games and magic tricks.
The performance will include magic related to social media, musical games, and segments in which even a pet may participate. All of this will create a dynamic and close-knit show, designed to entertain spectators of all ages.
Magic Jose has an extensive career in the world of illusionism. He is a semi-finalist of the tenth edition of 'Got Talent España' and was part of the Spanish team that represented our country at the 2024 European Magic Championship and the 2025 World Magic Championship, both held in Italy.
Additionally, he has won the 2nd National Award for Stage Magic in 2023 and 2024, as well as the 2nd National Award for Comic Magic in 2024. In 2025, he also received the Audience Award at the Magic Festival in Jerez de la Frontera, among other recognitions.
Specialising in shows for family audiences, Magic Jose is known for his constant innovation and for creating his own routines and effects. His artistic career began over 19 years ago, and he also has more than a decade of experience as a professional hypnotist.
Romero highlighted that "'A Brilliant Show' brings together all the ingredients for a fantastic time: magic, humour, participation, and many surprises." He added: "It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy culture outdoors in such a special setting as the Parque de España."
The event is on Thursday 27th August at 21:00 in the Cristóbal Blanca de Moral auditorium. Admission is free and no prior reservation is required, according to municipal sources.
