The summer festival in Ronda, Pinsapo Sound, brought together thousands of people in Plaza Teniente Arce with free concerts by Javi Medina, Líder J, and a tribute to El Canto del Loco.
The Pinsapo Sound, Ronda's summer festival, concluded this Sunday its sixth edition with thousands of attendees in Plaza Teniente Arce. Over three days, the free concerts by Javi Medina, Líder J, and the tribute to El Canto del Loco turned the town centre into the musical epicentre of the Serranía.
The event, promoted by the Tourism Department and the municipal company Turismo de Ronda, S.A., led by councillor Ángel Martínez, was born in 2019 with the aim of celebrating summer nights in the city. Six editions later, it has established itself as the major event of the summer season in Ronda.
On Friday, August 14, the festival opened with the show Llanto del Loco, a tribute to the legendary Spanish pop rock group led by Dani Martín, very popular between 2000 and 2010. On Saturday the 15th, Madrid's Javi Medina captivated the audience with his fusion of flamenco, rumba, pop, and urban sounds. On Sunday the 16th, Líder J, a leading figure of flamenco-reggaeton in Spain, closed the festival.
All three concerts were supported by the Provincial Council of Málaga, through the company Costa del Sol Málaga, reaffirming its commitment to Ronda. The festival also provides local groups with the opportunity to raise funds by managing the bar service; this edition saw participation from the brotherhoods of Columna, Ecce-Homo, and Pollinica.
Since 2019, artists such as Henry Méndez, Malamanera, Frank Diago, Omar Montes, Comando G, Electroduendes, La Unión, Álvaro Urquijo from Los Secretos, Camín, and Nancys Rubias with Mario Vaquerizo, among others, have performed at Pinsapo Sound.
The next edition is expected again in the summer of 2026, with the same formula of free concerts in the heart of Ronda.
