The Alhaurín el Grande Town Hall opens a grant of 6,000 euros for bars and restaurants adhering to the Alhaurín Alha‿Boca brand that promote zero-kilometre products. The deadline ends on September 26.

The Economic Development Area of the Alhaurín el Grande Town Hall has launched a new line of subsidies to encourage the use of local and seasonal products in the municipality's gastronomic offerings. The call has a total budget of 6,000 euros and is aimed at hospitality establishments adhering to the municipal brand Alhaurín Alha‿Boca.

The Councillor for Economic Development, Macarena Herrera, explained that with this measure, “we continue to promote actions aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the hospitality sector, while favouring the consumption of local products and supporting the work of local farmers and producers, thus strengthening the circular economy and the business fabric of the municipality.”

Three types of aid

The call includes three lines of grants that are compatible with each other, so that the same establishment can apply for one, two, or all three, as long as it meets the requirements of the bases.

The first line, with a maximum amount of 400 euros, finances the creation of a new dish made exclusively with local and seasonal products. The second, also up to 400 euros, supports the preparation of dishes based on traditional recipes that incorporate locally sourced raw materials. The third, of up to 300 euros, is allocated to the creation of drinks and cocktails that include local products in their preparation.

Application deadline open until September

The regulatory bases are already published, and the deadline for submitting applications will remain open until September 26. Interested parties can process their request electronically through the Alhaurín el Grande Town Hall's electronic headquarters.

With this initiative, the council reinforces its commitment to the Alhaurín Alha‿Boca brand as an element of economic dynamism and local consumption, a strategy that seeks to benefit both local hospitality and the municipality's producers.
