The Provincial Council of Málaga has awarded a mention to the Civil Protection Group of Alhaurín el Grande for its 30 years of uninterrupted service. The recognition was presented at an event held in the Edgar Neville auditorium of the Council, where a total of thirteen local groups from the province were honoured.
The head of Civil Protection in Alhaurín el Grande, José Antonio Pérez, received the distinction accompanied by the mayor, Anthony Bermúdez, and the chief of the Local Police, Pablo Rengel. The Town Hall has highlighted that this mention recognises three decades of dedication and voluntary service to the community.
"Over the years, the members of Civil Protection have demonstrated their commitment to the safety and well-being of our neighbours," states the Town Hall.
The group's work includes support in preventive devices, public events, and emergency situations in the municipality and the region. The event was attended by the president of the Council, Francisco Salado, the vice president Toñi Ledesma, the government sub-delegate in Málaga, Javier Salas, and the Andalusian government delegate in Málaga, Patricia Navarro.
On the same day, extraordinary mentions were awarded to the town of Ceuta and its Civil Protection Group.
