5th October 2026. In Navarra, the Civil Guard and the Police Foral have dismantled a criminal organisation dedicated to the trafficking of synthetic drugs. The operation, known as malandrona-nautilus, succeeded in dismantling a laboratory in Rada, where large quantities of narcotic substances were manufactured, especially speed.

Operation Details

The investigation unfolded over ten phases and culminated in the arrest of a total of 20 individuals, of whom ten have been remanded in custody. Nineteen searches were conducted, resulting in the seizure of more than 220 kilograms of various drugs, including 192 kilos of speed, 11 kilos of MDMA, and other substances such as cocaine and hashish.

In addition to the drugs, five vehicles, two firearms, and cash were confiscated, along with a series of chemicals and materials used for the manufacture and adulteration of narcotics.

A Large-Scale Laboratory

The laboratory discovered in Rada was equipped with the technology and materials necessary for drug production. A Dutch chemist was responsible for the preparation of the substances, while other members of the organisation handled the preparation and distribution.

Investigators found that this laboratory had the capacity to produce between 50 and 400 kilograms of speed per batch, reflecting the scale of the dismantled operation. The investigation was carried out by the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of the Civil Guard and the Group of Crimes against Health of the Police Foral, with the support of various units and municipal police from the region.
