The Virgen de los Ángeles, the Virgen de Gracia, the Virgen de Lágrimas y Favores, and the Dolorosa de las Angustias star in four processional outings in Málaga during the first weekend of October.

The first weekend of October has seen four processional outings of Marian images in Málaga, according to Diario Sur. The cofrade agenda for the tenth month began with the Virgen de los Ángeles in Miraflores de los Ángeles on Friday, continued on Saturday with the transfer of the Virgen de Gracia from the sanctuary of La Victoria, and was completed on Sunday with the rosary of the Virgen de Lágrimas y Favores and the transfer of the Dolorosa de las Angustias.

The Virgen de los Ángeles left the asylum of los Ángeles at 18:30 in the Miraflores de los Ángeles neighbourhood. The procession debuted the simpecado of San Francisco de Asís for the 800th anniversary of the transition of the seraphic father. The image, dressed by Álvaro Perogil, displayed a mantle and a supermantle. Due to the dimensions of the temple door, the crown could not be placed until after passing through the semi-circular arch of the chapel. Both the crown of the Virgin and the tunic of the Child are donations from local residents and devotees.

It was accompanied by the music band Maestro Eloy García from the Archicofradía de la Expiración. The throne was illuminated by silver buttresses with golden details and six candlesticks with white wax. The route passed by the church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, the plaza de los Ángeles, where the chapel of Cristo de Llagas y Columna is located, and Calle Pepe Santiago, where Tania Ortega sang some sevillanas with Juan Belmonte on guitar, and a large petalada was thrown. In Calle Pacheco, Siempre la Esperanza by Jesús Joaquín Espinosa de los Monteros and Esperanza de Triana Coronada by José Albero Francés were played in front of members of the Asociación de Fieles Esperanza y Refugio.

The Virgen de los Ángeles is a complete sculpture from the 16th century, of anonymous authorship, attributed by some scholars to the workshop of Pablo de Rojas. It may have arrived in Miraflores from the now-defunct Franciscan convent of San Luis El Real. It was restored by the Arte Cristiano workshops (Olot) in the 1930s and, just over a decade ago, by Aetos Restaura, which revealed an 18th-century polychromy that had been hidden.

On Saturday, the Hermandad del Rescate transferred its Dolorosa, the Virgen de Gracia, from the sanctuary to its brotherhood house. The procession set off at 21:15, fifteen minutes later than planned, after completing the third exercise of the triduum held since Thursday at the basilica of the Patroness. The procession was led by the raised cross and two torches, followed by brothers with white candles, the banner of the brotherhood, and the body of acolytes with four ceroferarios.

The Dolorosa entered the square of Cristo del Amor at 21:20, when the music band Virgen del Rocío played Málaga, a su Virgen de la Victoria, dedicated to the titular of the temple. The new parish priest of the sanctuary, José López Solórzano, who took possession on September 27, was positioned in front of the acolytes alongside the elder brother of Rescate, Daniel Gil. With Soleá dame la mano by Manuel Font de Anta, the Virgin descended the ramp of the sanctuary and stepped onto the Compás de la Victoria, accompanied by a large crowd. Dressed by Javi Nieto, she wore a neo-Gothic gown, a supermantle designed by Fernando Prini, a headdress with gold embroidery, and a procession glow. In her transfer throne, she carried mondial roses, gladioli, Madonna lilies, astromerias, carnations, and double lisianthus. With Puerta del Cielo by Francisco Javier Criado, she walked past the parish of San Lázaro, home of the Cofradía del Rocío, and arrived at her brotherhood house on Calle Agua just before 23:00.

On Sunday morning, the street rosary of the Virgen de Lágrimas y Favores from the Merged Brotherhoods was prayed. The outing was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but the brotherhood postponed it due to the Housing March called by the Tenants' Union. The corporation informed the brothers that "given the possibility of our rosary coinciding with the planned demonstration from the Plaza de la Constitución, the authorities have advised against holding it at the time and place originally planned."

In the afternoon, the Dolorosa de las Angustias from the Hermandad del Descendimiento set off in a processional transfer from the parish of San Gabriel in La Malagueta, where it had been since September 23 to preside over its worship. The image headed to its brotherhood house and then, privately, to its chapel in the complex of the former Noble Hospital.
