The Department of Seniors in Mijas has opened the registration period for the traditional trip, which will take place in October this year, heading to Chipiona. There are 1,600 places available and applications can be submitted until August 14.
The Mijas Town Hall has launched the registration for this year's Senior Trip, which will have as its destination the coast of Cádiz, specifically the municipality of Chipiona. The application period will remain open until August 14.
According to the Department of Seniors, a total of 1,600 places have been made available for this activity, which will take place in four shifts during the second half of October. If applications exceed the quota, places will be allocated by lottery.
Interested parties can submit their application in person at the Town Hall's entry registers, at the Deputy Mayor's Offices, or at the Seniors Office of the Active Participation Centre in Las Lagunas. The process can also be completed virtually through the electronic headquarters of the municipal website www.mijas.es.
To formalise the registration, it is necessary to provide the membership card and the physical ID. The price of the trip is 6.50 euros per person, which can be paid at the active participation centres or by bank transfer once the places are allocated.
“Applicants must have the membership card from the Active Participation Centre of Las Lagunas, Mijas Pueblo or the Seniors Centre of La Cala, in addition to being registered in the municipality for at least five years,” detail the Department of Seniors.
This initiative, which is repeated every year, aims to promote active ageing and socialisation among the seniors of the municipality. Interested parties can check the complete requirements on the municipal website.
The registration period ends on August 14, so residents wishing to participate must submit their application before that date.
