On August 26, the Plaza del Torreón in La Cala de Mijas will host a new Latin Night with Savia Viva and Nayza and Kafekonlé from 21:00.

The Plaza del Torreón in La Cala de Mijas will welcome the next wednesday, August 26 a new edition of the Latin Night, organized by the Tourism Department of the Mijas Town Hall. The event, which will start at 21:00, will bring the rhythms of Cuba, Latin America, and the Caribbean outdoors in one of the most recognizable spots of the Cala area.

The evening's lineup will be headlined by Savia Viva, a project led by Cuban singer Iliana Labrada, whose proposal traverses traditional trova, habaneras, and son. They will be joined by the duo Nayza and Kafekonlé, completing a night dedicated to Latin and Caribbean sounds.

The Tourism Councillor, Francisco Jerez, has invited locals and visitors to join the initiative. "We want to continue offering alternatives to enjoy summer nights in Mijas and, at the same time, generate activity in our areas," he stated, highlighting that Latin Night brings together "music, culture, and a privileged setting like the Plaza del Torreón."

Jerez emphasized the value of complementing the summer tourism offer with activities like this. "Those who visit Mijas seek our beaches, our gastronomy, or our heritage, but also experiences," he explained, adding that such proposals provide "one more reason to go out, get to know La Cala, enjoy its establishments, and experience the municipality even when night falls."

The activity is free and open to the public. The councillor encouraged participation: "On August 26, we have an appointment at the Plaza del Torreón. We hope that locals and visitors will join us and enjoy a different night, with good music and the atmosphere that characterizes La Cala during the summer."
