The Environmental Service of the Manilva Town Hall has rescued a vulture in the northern urban area. The bird, which showed signs of dehydration, is recovering well.
The Manilva Town Hall has carried out the rescue of a vulture in the northern urban area, as reported by the Environmental Delegation, led by Pilar Zúñiga. The bird exhibited clear symptoms of dehydration, prompting municipal services to provide first aid, administering water and food.
After initial stabilization, the animal's condition improved. Municipal officials then activated the usual protocol with the Centre for the Recovery of Endangered Species (CREA), whose professionals took charge of the vulture to complete its recovery and proceed with its subsequent release into its natural habitat.
This action is part of the ongoing work carried out by the municipal Environmental Service for the protection and management of local wildlife, an area that, according to the Town Hall, has been yielding positive results recently.
Through such interventions, the council underscores its commitment to the conservation of native species and reminds residents that they can report any sightings of distressed animals through the municipality's official channels.
