The Manilva Town Council, through Hidralia and Aquambiente, intensifies rat and insect control campaigns. The work focuses on the municipal network of pipes and sewage.

The municipality of Manilva maintains its pest control strategy active throughout the year, with periodic rat and insect control actions in the municipal sewage network. The water concession company, Hidralia, coordinates this work alongside the specialized company Aquambiente, which has developed a new day of the rat control campaign this morning.

The delegate for Infrastructure and Works and responsible for monitoring the water contract, Marcos Ruiz, accompanied the head of Hidralia during the visit to the workers operating on Calle Iglesia de Manilva. Although this Thursday's action focused on this street, the campaign extends to the entire network of pipes and sewers in the municipality.

According to the workers and the councillor himself, these tasks are carried out periodically throughout the year. This schedule allows for continuous monitoring of the network's condition and preventive action against potential rodent infestations.

In addition to rat control, the insect control campaign has already been carried out this summer in Manilva, Sabinillas, and the various urbanisations in the municipality, with special attention to the control and eradication of cockroaches.

The officials in charge of the work indicate that, in recent actions, the presence of rodents and insects is being reduced. A fact that, they assert, demonstrates the effectiveness of previous campaigns and the periodic maintenance of the sewage network.

As part of the preventive measures, the workers are placing specific baits at points in the sewer network to keep rodent populations under control and prevent their proliferation.

The Manilva Town Council thus maintains a pest control strategy throughout the year, combining rat and insect control actions with monitoring of the municipal sewage network.
