Manilva Polishes Its Schools and Nurseries Ahead of the New Term

The Manilva Town Hall takes advantage of summer to paint and restore schools and nurseries, focusing on San Luis School and Manilva Nursery.

The Manilva Town Hall takes advantage of summer to carry out painting, restoration, and repair work in the schools and nurseries of the municipality, in preparation for the start of the next term.

The Manilva Town Hall, through the Education and Infrastructure and Works departments, is executing a maintenance and improvement plan in the educational centres of the municipality during these weeks. The work, which is taking place in the local schools and nurseries, aims to ensure that the facilities are ready for the return to the classrooms.

This Thursday, the mayor, Mario Jiménez, along with the Infrastructure councillor, Marcos Ruiz, and the area director, Alejandro Medina, visited the San Luis school and nursery in Sabinillas, as well as the Manilva nursery, to supervise the progress of the work.

At the San Luis school in Sabinillas, workers have carried out painting and restoration of walls and ceilings in numerous classrooms and other areas such as the auditorium, the concierge, or the dome of the building. The nursery in this same area is also receiving painting and tidying work, and its outdoor patio is having the perimeter wall repaired.

The work is not limited to the centres. According to municipal sources, the restoration of the pergolas and walkway adjacent to the San Luis nursery, on the promenade, has already been completed, a space that will gain in safety and aesthetics for the families who use it daily.

At the Manilva nursery, similar painting and conditioning work is being carried out, with the aim of ensuring that the little ones find their classrooms in perfect condition for the new term.

The municipal officials explain that, although maintenance is carried out throughout the year, it is now, coinciding with the holiday period, that the most extensive tasks are executed. They also emphasize that local specialized companies are being used for the execution of the work, a decision that strengthens the business fabric of the municipality.

The actions are part of the preparation of the educational centres in Manilva for the 2026-2027 term, which will begin in the coming weeks. According to the Town Hall, parents in the municipality can expect renewed and safe spaces for the start of the new school year.
