Málaga, 14th August 2026. Alcampo will open its first supermarket in Andalucía, located in the Altos del Higuerón Shopping Centre in Benalmádena. This opening marks a significant advancement for the company, which has been present in the region since 1989.
The establishment, which will feature 1,200 square metres of sales area and a workforce of 40 employees, is expected to begin operations in late 2026. This new model is tailored to the needs and shopping habits of local customers.
A focus on fresh products
The supermarket will have a proposal centred on fresh products, with counters for butchery, fishmongery, bakery, prepared dishes, delicatessen, and cheeses, staffed by specialised professionals. Additionally, a selection of wines and a wide variety of brands will be available to meet both everyday shopping and other specific needs.
Operating hours will be from 9:00 to 22:00, including Sundays and holidays, and there will be an option for online shopping with collection from refrigerated lockers.
Integration into the Altos del Higuerón Shopping Centre
The new supermarket will be integrated into the offerings of the Altos del Higuerón Shopping Centre, which has over a hundred parking spaces and a variety of services, including a pharmacy, dental clinic, and real estate agency. The complex also features office space and transport services.
