The Manilva Town Hall has reactivated the elevator at Pasaje del Arriero, in the urban centre, after several years out of service. The installation has been adapted to current regulations.
The elevator at Pasaje del Arriero, in the heart of Manilva, is back in operation. The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Marcos Ruiz, checked this morning alongside the workers to ensure the equipment, which had been inactive for several years, was functioning correctly.
The refurbishment included a review by the Industry OCA, the installation of new safety systems on the doors, and the hiring of a specialised company for maintenance. Additionally, an emergency phone line has been set up via a telephone card so that users can directly contact the elevator control centre in case of an incident.
The work also included waterproofing, cleaning of the pit, and replacement of affected elements, as well as cleaning, painting, and conditioning of glass, stairs, and surroundings. The electricity supply contract has been formalised to ensure its operability.
The service is now operational to facilitate mobility and improve accessibility for those who need to use it in this area of Manilva. With this action, the Town Hall responds to a long-standing community demand.
