The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, and several councillors visited the main lifeguard station to thank the professionals for their work after rescuing several bathers with the support of the Local Police.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, accompanied by the councillors for Beaches, Gema Zotano, for Health, Juan Carlos Morejón, and councillor Marcos Ruiz, visited the main lifeguard station in the municipality to personally acknowledge the professionals for their work in recent interventions.
These actions have allowed the lives of several bathers to be saved on the beaches of Manilva, with the support of the Local Police, according to the Town Hall.
During the visit, the Government Team took the opportunity to insist on the responsibility of the Junta de Andalucía and the Popular Party to provide adequate health services in the locality, stating that the Town Hall of Manilva is taking on responsibilities that do not belong to it.
The Town Hall emphasises that the work of the lifeguards is essential to ensure safety on the municipality's beaches, especially during the peak summer season, and that they will continue working to improve the service.
The recognition comes in a context where the municipality is demanding greater involvement from the regional administration in health matters, an issue that the local government team has been raising for some time.
