A Considerable Security Detail

The Mobility and Road Safety Unit of the Civil Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of cyclists, teams, and the public during the race's route. This detail will consist of a total of 132 civil guards, who will be deployed along the 3,275 kilometres divided into 21 stages.

The deployment will include 59 motorcycles, 28 all-terrain vehicles, and one helicopter for aerial support. The aim is to provide maximum protection during the different phases of the event.

International Coordination

The 2026 Vuelta Ciclista a España will not only traverse Spanish territory but will also pass through Monaco, France, and Andorra. The Civil Guard will coordinate its efforts with the local police forces of these countries to ensure safety throughout the competition.

This year, collaboration will take place alongside the Police of the Principality of Monaco, the National Gendarmerie of France, and the Police of Andorra, ensuring a joint effort for the safety of all participants and spectators.
