The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area activates a special service on the M-424 line from August 15 to 22, with departures from mid-afternoon until dawn.
Residents of Alhaurín de la Torre who wish to attend the Málaga Fair 2026 without using their car will have an enhanced bus service available. The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area has confirmed that the M-424 line, which connects Pinos de Alhaurín, the urban centre and the Fairgrounds, will operate with more departures between August 15 and 22.
The arrangement is designed to cover both afternoon and evening visits. Departures from the municipality start at 15:39 and continue throughout the day, with the last ones at 2:14 in the morning, allowing for a return after the fairgrounds close. In the opposite direction, buses from the Fair operate from 16:20 to 23:50.
The journey between Alhaurín de la Torre and the Fairgrounds takes about 36 minutes, according to the schedules provided by the consortium. The arrival at the Fair occurs around 16:15 on the first departure, while the last expected arrival is at 2:50.
The enhancement responds to the high demand this line experiences every summer, when thousands of residents choose public transport to avoid traffic jams and the difficulty of parking near the Fairgrounds. This measure is part of the special operation that the consortium deploys for the capital's festivities.
The special service will be operational during the eight days of the fair. The complete schedules are already available on the consortium's website and at the usual stops of the M-424 line.
