The Transport Consortium activates a special bus service from August 15 to 22 with 9 lines connecting the capital with the metropolitan area. Reinforcements from the Málaga Metro, Cercanías and EMT are added.
The Málaga Fair 2026 is preparing to welcome thousands of residents from the 103 municipalities of the province between August 15 and 22. To facilitate travel, the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area will launch a special bus operation that will connect the capital with the metropolitan area and the interior.
The operation includes nine special lines linking towns such as Alhaurín de la Torre, Cártama, Coín, Álora, Pizarra, Fuengirola, Mijas, or Torremolinos with the historic centre and the Real de Cortijo de Torres. This offer is complemented by reinforcements from the Málaga Metro, Renfe Cercanías, and special lines from EMT Málaga.
Travellers from Alhaurín de la Torre and Pinos de Alhaurín will have line M-424, while Cártama Pueblo and Estación de Cártama will have M-410. Line M-429 will operate from Coín and Alhaurín el Grande, and M-430 will cover Álora, Pizarra, and Valle de Abdalajís.
Line M-450 will connect Villanueva de la Concepción and Casabermeja, while M-451 will do the same for Colmenar and Riogordo. On the Costa del Sol, M-426 will link Fuengirola and Las Lagunas de Mijas, and M-421 will serve Torremolinos.
The Consortium reminds that fares remain unchanged and that official schedules can be downloaded from their website. It is recommended to avoid using private cars and to opt for public transport, especially on the busiest days, such as Saturday the 15th or the central weekend of the fair.
For attendees from outside the metropolitan area, Renfe Cercanías will increase its frequencies on lines C-1 and C-2, with stops at points such as Málaga Centro-Alameda, Victoria Kent, or the airport. The Málaga Metro will extend its hours until two in the morning during fair nights.
EMT Málaga, for its part, will activate special shuttles to the Real de Cortijo de Torres from various points in the city, with frequencies of 10 to 15 minutes during peak hours. Complete schedules and maps of the lines are available at the stops and on the official apps of each operator.
With this operation, the aim is for residents of the province to enjoy the fair without worrying about parking and with options for sustainable mobility. The special lines will operate throughout the festive week, with departures from early morning until dawn.
