The Municipal Swimming School of Antequera will organise two internal events and participate in the Provincial Winter Swimming Circuit. The Solidarity Strokes will take place on December 10 and 11.
The Municipal Swimming School of Antequera has announced its activity programme for the 2026/2027 season, managed by the Sobre 2 Ruedas Bikes club in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Antequera City Council. According to the deputy mayor in charge of Sports, Juan Rosas, the calendar includes two events, participation in a provincial circuit, and a new edition of the Solidarity Strokes.
The first event will be on Saturday, November 7, aimed at the school's students. It will take place at the Municipal Covered Pool between 08:30 and 10:30 hours, at a time that does not interfere with free swimming.
The second internal event is scheduled for Saturday, May 29, 2027, at the same time and in the same pool.
The school will also compete in the Provincial Winter Swimming Circuit, organised by the Málaga Provincial Council, which will have five qualifying rounds. The first will be held in Antequera, with the others in Alhaurín el Grande, Coín, Vélez-Málaga, and Nerja. Qualified swimmers and clubs from municipal schools will have access to the final phase, which will take place in Antequera in May.
The Solidarity Strokes will be held on December 10 and 11 at the Municipal Covered Pool. Those wishing to swim in free swimming can enter by donating one kilogram of food for each hour of facility use, instead of paying the entry fee. The products will be donated to the Social Dining Room of Antequera.
