The town of Málaga has hosted the launch of the new campaign by the Junta de Andalucía, aimed at promoting family reconciliation and shared responsibilities. The territorial delegate for Social Services, Families and Equality, Laura Valle, highlighted the importance of this initiative with the slogan ‘Para estar contigo’.

The campaign is part of the Corresponsables Plan from the Ministry of Equality, which aims to foster a cultural shift towards real and effective equality at home and in society. Laura Valle pointed out that sharing family responsibilities is key to advancing equality and facilitating the reconciliation of personal, family, and work life.

Campaign Objectives

During the presentation, Valle stated: “Equality cannot remain solely in laws or speeches. It must begin in our homes.” The new campaign emphasizes the need for a balanced distribution of domestic responsibilities, allowing both men and women to have time for their personal and professional development.

The campaign presents the family as a team where all members share both good times and responsibilities. Its messages aim to reach all generations, paying special attention to parents, mothers, teenagers, and young people, as well as the contribution of older adults in family care.

Continuity and Evolution of the Initiative

The new campaign continues the theme from last year, titled ‘It was about time to be responsible’, but now presents a more emotional approach, focused on family well-being and quality time. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of involving young people from an early age and recognizing the role of grandparents in household tasks.
