The Alhaurín de la Torre Town Hall renovates the median, lighting, and sidewalks of Río Genil street, one of the accesses to Los Manantiales.
The Alhaurín de la Torre Town Hall is carrying out improvement and beautification works on Río Genil street, one of the main access roads to the Los Manantiales urbanisation. This action is part of the municipal plan to renew the entrances to the urbanisations in the municipality, according to Mayor Joaquín Villanova.
The works focus on the median of the road, approximately 182 metres long, where new shrubs and artificial grass will be planted to give the area a design similar to other parts of the municipality.
The intervention also includes the installation of new streetlights to renew public lighting and the execution of lowered sidewalks, in order to facilitate pedestrian passage and eliminate architectural barriers.
The councillor for Operational Services, Rodrigo Jiménez, has visited the area to supervise the progress of the works, which, as he explains, will improve the aesthetics, functionality, and safety of this access.
The Town Hall has already carried out a similar action on Avenida del Manantial, within the same urbanisation, where it renewed a median of about 72 metres with artificial grass, specimens of Cycas revoluta, and a new irrigation network, in addition to reforming the lighting and improving pedestrian traffic.
Both interventions are part of the reurbanisation plan planned for Los Manantiales, which includes progressive actions on sidewalks, pavement, and infrastructure in this residential area.
