The Official State Bulletin (BOE) publishes this Monday, 14 September, the announcement of the call from the Alhaurín de la Torre Town Hall to fill thirteen new Local Police positions. The application period starts this Tuesday, the 15th, and candidates will have 20 working days to formalise their registration.
The bases were published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Málaga (BOP) on 17 July and correspond to the Public Employment Offer of 2026. The call allocates the positions as nine through open competition, two by mobility without promotion through a merit-based competition, and two reserved for professional military personnel and sailors, also through competition, in accordance with the Local Police Law of Andalusia. If the latter remain unfilled, they will be added to the open competition.
The selection process includes a theoretical-practical exam, physical tests, psychotechnical evaluation, and medical examination. Those who pass these phases must complete the entry course and a practical training period within the force. The bases include the official syllabus according to the current Andalusian regulations for access to Local Police bodies.
This call adds to the process developed in recent months to fill another nine positions, whose candidates took office as probationary officials in June: eight officers through open competition and one by mobility. The first eight are now completing the mandatory training course before joining the service in the municipality, which is expected to take place in the coming months.
The mayor, Joaquín Villanova, aims to continue strengthening the Local Police force to improve the operational capacity of the body and adjust human resources to the growth of the municipality and the needs of public safety.
