The Youth Department of Vélez-Málaga is organising a free zip line day on Saturday, October 17, at Sunview Park in Alhaurín de la Torre. Participants will cover 1,350 meters and reach speeds of up to 100 km/h.
Young residents of Vélez-Málaga born between 1996 and 2012 will be able to participate on Saturday, October 17 in a free zip line activity at Sunview Park in Alhaurín de la Torre. This initiative is part of the Alternative Leisure 2026 programme promoted by the Youth Department of the Vélez-Málaga City Council.
The course is 1,350 meters long and allows speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour, as reported by the Youth Councillor, Lourdes Piña. The facility, located in the Málaga valley, features a high-altitude course with wide views of the Málaga landscape.

This is how the municipal official describes the event, which aims to combine sport, adventure, and nature among the participants. The activity is part of the Delegation's goal to offer healthy and attractive alternatives for young people in the municipality to spend their free time.
Registrations will be open from October 6 to 13, 2026, or until spots are filled, via the website juventud.velezmalaga.es. The only requirement is to be registered in Vélez-Málaga and to have been born within the specified years. Participation is free of charge.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing, sports shoes, and bring water, as recommended by the facility for this type of adventure activity. The event will take place in a space dedicated to nature and adrenaline in Alhaurín de la Torre.
