Málaga, 30 October 2026. Alcampo is finalising the works on its first supermarket in Andalusia, located in the Altos del Higuerón Shopping Centre in Benalmádena. The opening is scheduled for the upcoming 19 November.

This new establishment will generate 25 direct jobs, in addition to 12 professionals coming from the Alcampo store in Marbella. The initial team will consist of 37 people, of whom 15 will be dedicated to providing specialised service at the fresh product counters.

Local collaborations and team training

During the hiring phase, Alcampo has worked together with several local organisations, such as FUNDATUL, Inserta ONCE, APPRENDE Benalmádena, and the Benalmádena Labour Association, thanks to the collaboration of the Benalmádena City Council.

The new team will receive a total of 2,450 hours of training in areas such as occupational risk prevention, food safety, and Alcampo's corporate culture. Additionally, specialised training will be included in the vocational schools of the butcher, deli, fishmonger, greengrocer, and bakery sections, which will contribute to the professional development of employees and product knowledge.

Opening to the public

Residents of Benalmádena will be able to visit the new supermarket starting at 9:00 AM on 19 November, when the establishment opens its doors to the public. The inauguration event will take place at 8:50 AM.

Alcampo, which has been operating in Andalusia since 1989, currently has 9 stores in the region and a workforce of 1,600 people. The company is dedicated to the management of hypermarkets and supermarkets, and it has a total of 507 centres in Spain.
