The Benalmádena Town Hall has published in the BOP the final list of accepted and rejected candidates for six firefighter-driver positions from the 2023 and 2024 job offers. The process will continue with the opposition phase, the date of which will be announced at least five days in advance.
The Benalmádena Town Hall has taken a further step in strengthening the Fire Prevention, Extinction, and Rescue Service by publishing the final list of accepted and rejected candidates for six firefighter-driver positions. The announcement was made this Monday in the Official Bulletin of the Province (BOP) of Málaga.
The positions correspond to the Public Employment Offers of 2023 and 2024 and will be filled as career civil servants through open competition. With the list now closed, the process moves on to the opposition phase.
The mayor, Juan Antonio Lara, has stated that the City Council continues to expedite the procedures to strengthen the workforce:
“We continue to expedite all necessary procedures to reinforce our Firefighters' workforce. Now we take a further step to fill these first six positions, as part of our goal to incorporate up to a total of 13 new personnel as soon as possible and continue improving an essential service for the safety of our residents.”
The date and location of the opposition tests will be announced through the Town Hall's public employment platform and the electronic headquarters with a minimum notice of five days, as stipulated in the regulatory bases.
The municipal government has allocated 1.5 million euros in this legislature for fleet renewal, 510,000 euros for new uniforms and personal protective equipment, and 142,000 euros for improving the facilities of the Fire Station. The mayor added:
“Reinforcing our Fire Service is a priority. We are making progress in incorporating new professionals while continuing to improve their means, vehicles, equipment, and facilities. We want Benalmádena to have an increasingly prepared service equipped with the necessary resources to respond to any emergency.”
