The dangerous Colombian drug lord 'La Negra Dominga', accused of ordering a triple murder in Valencia, has been transferred to Archidona prison under a special monitoring regime to prevent contact with his criminal networks.

The notorious Colombian drug trafficker alias 'La Negra Dominga' is now in Archidona prison (Málaga). The inmate, considered one of the most dangerous drug lords in his country, was transferred this week from a penitentiary in Madrid for security reasons, according to prison sources. The decision aims to prevent him from establishing contacts with Latin gangs and continuing to direct his operations from prison.

A triple murder for revenge in El Saler

The Guardia Civil identifies 'La Negra Dominga' as the mastermind behind the triple murder that occurred in February 2024 in El Saler (Valencia). In that incident, a man and his two bodyguards were executed. The main hypothesis points to a revenge for the death of his nephew and godson in Colombia during a birthday celebration in 2022. According to investigation sources, the inmate himself reportedly recounted coldly how he initiated an offensive against the rival clan until he found the last of its members in Spain.

The accused is in provisional custody and faces charges for planning and financing the triple murder. So far, there is no final sentence against him. The case is ongoing in the Valencia courts, while he remains in the isolation module of the Málaga prison.

FIES 5 regime: maximum surveillance for a high-risk inmate

Archidona prison has classified the inmate as FIES 5, a special monitoring regime reserved for drug traffickers, terrorists, and members of organized gangs. This measure involves exhaustive controls and communication restrictions. Prison sources explain that the change of destination is due to the need to isolate him from possible contacts with henchmen who may be in other prisons. "There he could contact his henchmen and strengthen his position. He is a very big drug lord," they warn.

Despite his dangerousness, the inmate maintains a "very polite and correct" behaviour within the facility. His record only shows a minor sanction for rule violations and a reward. He has not been involved in serious incidents to date. However, authorities remain vigilant due to his history as the leader of the Los Piloneros gang and occasional partner of the Los Costeños clan, two Colombian criminal organizations.

His defence: a victim of a police setup

In November 2025, 'La Negra Dominga' requested to voluntarily appear before the judge of Instruction number 14 in Valencia. During the statement, made via videoconference from prison for security reasons, he denied any involvement in the triple murder. According to Levante-EMV at the time, the accused rejected being the person known by that alias and claimed to be a victim of a police setup orchestrated by the Guardia Civil. He presented himself as a "great businessman" unjustly imprisoned.

However, the investigation maintains that the Colombian drug lord ordered the crimes as part of a war between clans that extended to Spain. The death of his nephew reportedly triggered a spiral of violence that culminated in El Saler. Meanwhile, the inmate remains in Archidona under strict control, awaiting the justice system to determine his future.

For the residents of Archidona, the arrival of such a dangerous inmate does not pose a direct risk, as the penitentiary has extreme security measures. The prison, located in the north of the Málaga province, houses other high-profile inmates. The case continues its judicial course, and the trial for the triple murder is expected to take place in the coming months.
