Investment in high-quality housing in Marbella, Estepona and Benahavís exceeds 3 billion a year. The climate, golf and gastronomy make this area a global benchmark.
The luxury real estate market in the Golden Triangle of the Costa del Sol, which includes Marbella, Estepona and Benahavís, generates a business volume exceeding 3 billion euros annually. This was highlighted by entrepreneurs, developers and investors gathered at the Forbes Real Estate Forum Costa del Sol, a specialised forum that analysed the keys to this privileged enclave.
A destination that combines business and quality of life
The General Director of Forbes Spain, Cristiano Badoch, emphasised that the Costa del Sol has evolved from being a simple holiday destination to becoming a strategic point for high-level networking. "The Costa del Sol has ceased to be merely a dream holiday destination and has transformed into a strategic point for top-level conversations and networking," he stated.
The developer of Tyrian Residences, Vitaliy Rushchynskyy, explained that the appeal of the Golden Triangle lies in its unique combination of factors: "We have hospitality and dining that are on par with the best places. Moreover, we have the proximity to the sea and the fact that, in two hours, you can be in Sierra Nevada skiing. What place can offer this? Very few."
Rushchynskyy also emphasised that, unlike other areas such as the south of France or Italy, in the Costa del Sol there is still availability of land for new developments. "On the other hand, in the Costa del Sol we still have land. If we talk about the south of France or Italy, there is none left there," he added.
Gastronomy, golf and top-notch services
The CEO of One2one, Achi Castillo, highlighted the quality of the complementary offerings: "In the Golden Triangle we have the best hotels, we have golf courses, internationally recognised gastronomy and spectacular services." Castillo added that Marbella and Estepona offer experiences that "other cities do not have."
Investors acquiring high-end properties in this area are now looking for a place to develop their life project, unlike previous decades when second homes were the priority. This was explained by the CEO of Drumelia Real Estate, Artur Loginov: "Marbella is a town I can walk around and a city I can live in. This combination makes Marbella a totally unique place. Additionally, there is a climate that allows you to live here all year round."
For residents and potential buyers, this trend means a greater supply of luxury homes with comprehensive services, from private security to concierge. The growing demand is also driving the construction of new developments in areas like Benahavís, where tranquility and sea views are the main attractions.
The forum concluded with an optimistic forecast: investment volume is expected to continue growing in the coming years, consolidating the Golden Triangle as one of the most exclusive residential destinations in the world. Attendees agreed that the key is to maintain the quality of services and preserve the natural environment.
