The group Deskarria2 will offer a free concert this Thursday at the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium in the Park of Spain, featuring the greatest hits of 80s Spanish pop.
The Park of Spain in Fuengirola will host a concert by Deskarria2 this Thursday at 21:00, revisiting the greatest hits of 80s Spanish pop. The performance, with free entry, is part of the cultural summer programme by the Fuengirola City Council.
The Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, and band member Rafael Jiménez presented the event this morning. Romero highlighted that “we continue to fill the summer nights in the Park of Spain with music, offering proposals for all audiences” and encouraged everyone to enjoy “one of the most memorable decades of Spanish music.”
Deskarria2, formed in 1984 and currently composed of four musicians, has prepared a show that spans from the new wave to the movida and the birth of independent music. Jiménez explained that they want the audience to “remember those songs, sing along with us, and enjoy a night full of good memories and great music.”
The repertoire will include tracks from bands such as Radio Futura, Hombres G, Alaska, La Unión, Loquillo, Nacha Pop, La Frontera, La Guardia, Duncan Dhu, Los Secretos, Burning, Los Ronaldos, Los Rodríguez, Siniestro Total, and 091, as well as some original songs from the band. Entry is free until capacity is reached.
The band, which returned to activity in 2015, combines the creation of original songs with this show dedicated to the anthems of Spanish pop and rock. This event is part of the summer programme promoted by the Culture Department to offer outdoor musical proposals during the summer months.
The concert will take place at the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium, within the Park of Spain, a regular venue for such events. Access will be free and no prior invitation is required.
