The Estepona Town Hall has begun placing the 31 stainless steel letters that will form the new sign for the Exhibition and Congress Palace, with LED lighting and the municipal coat of arms. The project, budgeted at €41,244, aims to reinforce the identity of the building and its visibility from the surrounding area.
The Exhibition and Congress Palace in Estepona is getting a new look. The Town Hall has started the installation of a new identifying sign on its roof, consisting of the text 'Exhibition and Congress Palace' and the official coat of arms of the town, as reported by the Council.
The set is made up of 31 three-dimensional letters made of AISI 316 stainless steel, a highly resistant material designed for outdoor use due to its durability against corrosion. The fronts of the letters are made of translucent methacrylate and incorporate a high-efficiency LED lighting system.
The sign will have approximate dimensions of 34 meters in length, while the municipal coat of arms will reach two meters in height. The system includes a control that will allow programming different lighting effects to adapt the building's illumination for congresses, events, and special dates.
The project, which amounts to €41,244, also includes the installation of a galvanised metal structure designed to ensure the safety, stability, and durability of the set, as well as all necessary auxiliary means for its assembly.
This intervention is part of a plan to improve municipal facilities that the Estepona Town Hall has been executing in recent months. Among the work already completed is the exterior cleaning of the canvas roof using a pressure washer, as well as the cleaning and sealing of the joints between the extractor pipes and the roof to reinforce watertightness.
Work has also been carried out on approximately 250 meters of walls at the junction with the canvas tent, including surface cleaning, sealing of about 50 meters of exterior, and waterproofing to protect the structure against possible leaks. Additionally, a comprehensive cleaning of the interior roof has been carried out with specialised machinery, and paint has been applied to the metal rings that hold the canvas.
The Exhibition and Congress Palace is one of Estepona's key venues for hosting congresses, fairs, exhibitions, and large cultural and social events. With these improvements, the Town Hall aims to enhance its image and facilitate its identification from various points in the surrounding area.
The installation work for the new sign is currently underway, so residents and visitors will be able to see the complete result in the coming weeks.
