Children at the Summer Sports Camps in Ronda have enjoyed a display by the Local Police Canine Unit, featuring obedience and search demonstrations.
The Canine Unit of the Local Police of Ronda has once again participated in the Summer Sports Camps of the municipality, offering the little ones an educational and engaging exhibition. The aim, according to municipal sources, is to raise awareness of police work and promote values such as coexistence, respect, and safety.
During the day, attendees witnessed a practical demonstration of canine obedience, where the handler-dog duo showcased their high level of training and coordination. There was also a demonstration of searching for lost objects, which allowed the children to learn about some of the working capabilities of police dogs.
One of the highlights was the direct interaction between the children and the service dog, which displayed a loving, friendly, and balanced character. This experience brought participants closer to the work of the Canine Unit in a fun and educational way, fostering a relatable image of police work.
The exhibition concluded with a display of the materials used by the officers in their daily service, as well as the equipment and resources of the police vehicles. Attendees showed great interest in learning firsthand about some of the tools used to ensure public safety.
The Canine Unit has expressed gratitude to the Sports Area of the Ronda City Council for including them once again in these summer activities, highlighting that this allows them to bring their work and the police figure closer to the youngest, strengthening the bonds of trust and proximity with the community from an early age.
