Over 15 brands and around thirty models paraded at the 5th anniversary of FEMAPE Flamenca, consolidating the runway as a prelude to the Feria de Málaga 2026.

The Málaga Federation of Peñas (FEMAPE) has once again demonstrated its significance in the social and cultural calendar of the province with a new edition of its flamenco fashion runway, which this year reached its fifth installment. The event brought together hundreds of attendees in a parade featuring more than 15 design brands and around thirty models, confirming FEMAPE Flamenca as the event that marks the starting gun for the fashion that will be showcased at the Feria de Málaga 2026.

The event had a strong institutional and social representation. Among the attendees was Carlos García, who participated in his first public event following his recent appointment as the Territorial Delegate for Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga. Also present were Esperanza Barrios, director of Málaga de Moda from the Provincial Council; Julio Andrade, advisor for External Action of the City Council; councillor Pablo Orellana; actress and content creator Fina Mayo; Virginia Ortega, deputy secretary of the Medical Association; provincial deputy Francisco Garrido; and the president of the Historical Centre, Rodrigo Bocanegra, among others.

The artistic direction was led by Manuel Beltrán, a regular collaborator of the runway, who coordinated the parade and the modelling agency. This edition included a presentation of men's fashion, a somewhat unusual addition for such events, which added a distinctive value to the overall collections presented.

Institutional and business support was again crucial. The runway was sponsored by FEMAPE itself, the City Council of Málaga, Cafés Santa Cristina, Coca-Cola, Navarro Hermanos, Unicaja Banco, Famadesa, Cervezas Victoria, the Provincial Council of Málaga, and the Málaga de Moda programme.

The deputy Esperanza González brought the event to a close with a message that encapsulated the spirit of the day:

“Málaga is about and for fashion.”
With this new edition, FEMAPE Flamenca reaffirms its role as a barometer of the trends that will be showcased this August at the Real and in the streets of the capital, consolidating itself as an essential event before the official start of the Feria de Málaga 2026.
