The Diputación and the Chamber of Commerce of Málaga have taken six women's party fashion brands to Milan from September 24 to 27 to open up to the international market.

Six Málaga-based women's party and special occasion fashion brands have participated in a professional mission in Milan from September 24 to 27, organised by the Provincial Council of Málaga as part of the Impulsa Málaga de Moda project, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Málaga.

The participating companies are Julieta Brand, Gisela, Maumar Couture, Teressa Ninú, García Galiano, and Inma de la Riva. The delegation has been accompanied by the Deputy for Sustainable Economic Development, Esperanza González, and Nadia Díaz Alcaide, representing the Foreign Trade department of the Chamber of Commerce of Málaga.

The focus of the mission has been the professional visit to WHITE Milano, one of the leading contemporary fashion fairs, held in the Tortona Fashion District. On September 25 and 26, the brands analysed product trends and presentations, strategies for positioning international brands, and the demands of buyers, agents, distributors, and showrooms.

The programme included a visit to the showroom of Elisa Gaito on Saturday the 26th, a meeting with Mercedes Nogal, head of the Fashion Department at ICEX España, and with Francesco Roset, head of Consumer and Industrial Goods at the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Milan. They also attended the In Passerella l'Eccellenza Artigiana fashion show at the Chiostri di San Barnaba, and the Korean Collective event at the Palazzo Isimbardi.

“With actions like this, we help to promote the brands affiliated with the provincial institution's brand in the European landscape, always in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce,” highlighted Esperanza González.

The mission is part of Impulsa Málaga de Moda, a programme by the Diputación and the Chamber that includes training, advice, digitalisation, innovation, and international promotion for companies affiliated with the Málaga de Moda brand. The aim is for the participating brands to return with information on trends and market demands in Italy, new professional contacts, and knowledge of the available marketing channels.
