The chamber institution holds its Executive Committee at the facilities of the Port Authority, with a meeting with entrepreneurs and a visit to the Container and Vehicle Terminal. The president, José Carlos Escribano, advocates bringing the Chamber closer to the entire territory.
The Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Málaga held its Executive Committee on Wednesday at the facilities of the Port Authority of Málaga. The session was led by the president of the institution, José Carlos Escribano, and included the participation of the presidents of the various chamber committees and entity officials.
At the end of the meeting, a gathering with entrepreneurs took place, which also featured the president of the Port Authority, Carlos Rubio Basabe, who highlighted the collaboration between both institutions.
“The close collaboration that the Port of Málaga has maintained for years with the Chamber of Commerce to promote the export activity of companies operating in the port environment”
During the day, the services and programs that the Chamber offers to companies in foreign trade and tourism, employment, training, entrepreneurship, and competitiveness were presented.
Escribano positioned the Port as a key piece for the province's economy and defended the institution's presence in areas where economic activity is concentrated.
“The Port of Málaga is a strategic infrastructure for our economy and a fundamental element for the internationalisation of our companies”
The chamber president added that the commitment to the provincialisation of the institution “involves being present where economic activity is, generating meeting spaces, and working together with companies, institutions, and entities.” In this line, he noted that they want a Chamber “that is increasingly close and useful, capable of supporting companies throughout the province in their processes of growth, competitiveness, and internationalisation.”
After the meeting with entrepreneurs, the Executive Committee members visited the Container and Vehicle Terminal, managed by Noatum Terminal Málaga, to learn about its facilities and activities.
With this session outside its usual headquarters, the Chamber continues its round of meetings in different spaces and municipalities of the province, which will continue in upcoming sessions yet to be scheduled.
