The mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Jesús María Claros, has signed a decree that incorporates María Josefa Terrón into the government team and redistributes the municipal areas.
The decree signed today by the mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Jesús María Claros, reorganises the areas of the municipal government team following his election as mayor in the plenary session on Wednesday, October 28.
The main novelty is the incorporation of María Josefa Terrón as councillor. She takes on Popular Traditions, Education, Municipal Buildings, and Operational Services, responsibilities that were previously shared between Lourdes Piña and Claros himself.
Lourdes Piña will now manage Finance, which was previously handled by Manuel Gutiérrez, as well as the Presidency, Intervention, Environment, Parks and Gardens, and Administrative Contracting. Celestino Rivas adds Infrastructure and Water to his areas of Urban Planning and Architecture, Technological Food Park, Transport and Road Mobility, and Heritage.
Rocío Ruiz takes on the Youth Delegation. Manuel Gutiérrez retains Cemeteries, Sports, and Mobile Park, and becomes deputy mayor of Triana and El Trapiche. Claros retains Agriculture and also takes on Local Police.
The deputy mayor positions in the districts remain unchanged, except for Triana and El Trapiche. The new order of deputy mayors is led by Jesús Carlos Pérez Atencia, followed by Lourdes Piña, Celestino Rivas, José David Segura, Rocío Ruiz, Alejandro David Vilches, Manuel Gutiérrez, and Juan Antonio García López.
The team is completed by María Alicia Ramírez Domínguez, with Culture, Historical Heritage, and Human Resources; Juan Fernández Olmo, with General Services, Seniors, Health, Consumption, and other areas; Ana Belén Zapata Jiménez, with Business and Employment; and Beatriz Gálvez Martínez, with Industry and Commerce.
The distribution of responsibilities is established from the signing of this decree.
