The Councillor for Popular Traditions, Lourdes Piña, presents a programme featuring Camela, Cali & El Dandee, Salistre, and María del Monte at the Official Tent, with activities spread throughout the centre and the Fairgrounds from 29 September to 4 October.
The Real Feria de San Miguel 2026 in Vélez-Málaga will feature over a hundred performances, activities, and proposals for all audiences. The Councillor for Popular Traditions, Lourdes Piña, presented the programme, which will take place between 29 September and 4 October in the city centre and at the Fairgrounds.
Piña explained that the aim is for the Fair not to be concentrated in a single location or target a single type of audience, but to be enjoyed throughout the day in different spaces in Vélez-Málaga.
"We have a Fair with great artists, but also with our local groups, our dance academies, our choirs, our associations, our seniors, activities for children, and proposals for young people. We want everyone to find their space and for the streets of Vélez to be filled with atmosphere again."
The Day Fair will be held from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October with simultaneous activities in Plaza de las Carmelitas, Paseo de Andalucía, Paseo Nuevo (Paseo de los Naranjos), Plaza del Carmen, calle Romero Pozo, calle Albero, Canalejas, and Explanada de la Estación, where the Young Tent will be located. Various groups will perform in these spaces, including Zayas Cover Band, Callejón Flamenco, Sergio Pérez "El Cindindi", Sherezade, Los Piratas Flamencos, Ñ-CLAN, Nahuel & Darío, Son del Puerto, Nexo, La Década, Silverio Soto, Beatriz Morón, Carlos Bravo, and María Cortés, among others, as well as dance academies, flamenco choirs, and local senior groups and associations.
The children's programme includes a specific area in the Night Fair and the Mini Children's Fair of Canalejas, open during the Day Fair. The Children's Tent at the Fairgrounds will have its own activities: on Thursday, a Disney show with sing-alongs and contemporary music; on Friday, magic with Mago Danielo; on Saturday, puppets; and on Sunday, Children's Day, with attractions at half price.
"We wanted children to have a special role because the Fair is also for them. We have prepared a dedicated children's programme, with different shows each night and the Mini Children's Fair during the day, so families can come, enjoy, and have their own space within the Fair."
At the Official Tent of the Fairgrounds, the Night Fair will kick off on Thursday 1 October with Camela at 23:30 hours. On Friday 2, Cali & El Dandee will perform with free entry; on Saturday 3, it will be Salistre's turn, also free; and on Sunday 4, María del Monte will close the event, again with free access. Every night there will be an hour and a half of quiet time, from 20:00 to 21:30 hours.
The programme will begin on Tuesday 29 September with a parade by the Group of Dances, Choirs, and Dances of Vélez-Málaga and the opening speech by Sergio Pérez "El Cindindi", followed by a performance by Requiebros in Plaza de la Constitución. On Wednesday 30, the traditional Diana Floreada, the election of Miss and Mister Infantil, and the Gala Miss & Mister Juvenil, Certamen Amparo Muñoz 2026, will take place, featuring the Academia Feel The Music. The Livestock Fair will be held on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October at the Explanada de Santo Chiquito.
The councillor has invited residents and visitors to participate in a Fair designed for everyone.
"We wanted a broad Fair, spread across different spaces and with proposals throughout the day. A Fair to enjoy with family, friends, and also for our seniors and young people to have their place. Now it’s time to live it and make it ours together."
