The San Pedro Alcántara Fair will be held from October 13 to 19 with free performances by OBK and Modestia Aparte, Pasión Vega and Camela on the 16th, 17th and 18th. The La Caridad venue will also host local talent, children's activities and equestrian programming.

The San Pedro Alcántara Fair already has its musical lineup. The auditorium at the La Caridad venue will host free performances by OBK and Modestia Aparte on October 16, Pasión Vega on the 17th and Camela on the 18th, as detailed by the mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, during the presentation of the festivities.

The mayor emphasized that the schedule has been designed so that "there is a fair for everyone," with proposals tailored to different ages and preferences. In the Palenque, there will be a night dedicated to the 80s, another with an Andalusian theme paying tribute to Triana and Medina Azahara, and a young afternoon with seven local DJs, as well as performances by dance academies.

"The open and family-friendly nature of this celebration" defines the fair, the mayor stated, encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy a well-established event in the municipality.

The official start will be on October 13. At 5:00 PM, there will be a parade of giants and big-heads with the Ramón Mayén Music Band, and at 9:00 PM, the lighting will be turned on and the fairgrounds will open, featuring the fireworks show ‘Mediterranean Character’. Following this, there will be the opening speech by Rafael Reyes, director of the Rock Factory music school, and the crowning of queens, king, knights and ladies.

The equestrian activities will take place from Wednesday to Saturday, between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with horse racing and harness competitions, a horse rider parade and the school through the streets of San Pedro Alcántara. This year, the afternoon hours allocated for horses will be extended compared to the previous edition.

The little ones will have October 14 as Children's Day, with affordable prices, and on Thursday, a big children's party in the auditorium with a show, photocall, workshops, tombola, bouncy castles and crafts. On Monday the 19th, the closing day, the Palenque Municipal will host another children's party.

The seniors' tent will have specific programming throughout the week, with music, dance and competitions of pasodoble, sevillanas, bachata and ballroom dancing. On the 14th, the Senior Day will be celebrated with a joint lunch for members of the three Active Participation Centres in San Pedro Alcántara, along with a meeting of the boards of directors of all the CPAs in Marbella.

On October 19, the main day of the Patron Saint, it will begin with a mass and the traditional procession, accompanied by the Ramón Mayén Music Band and the Marbella Musical Group. The mayor has thanked the involvement of municipal delegations, the Local Police, Civil Protection and community groups.

The lead-up will be this Sunday October 4 with a 'pre-fair' in the church square.
