The Culture Delegation of Alhaurín el Grande has presented 'Fourth Station', a programme featuring around twenty initiatives that will take place from September to November 2026, including theatre, music, literature, exhibitions, and children's activities.
The Culture Delegation of the Alhaurín el Grande Town Hall has unveiled 'Fourth Station', the cultural programme for the months of September, October, and November 2026. The proposal includes around twenty initiatives across disciplines such as theatre, live music, literature, exhibitions, and children's activities, with free events and affordable ticket prices.
Among the musical events, the concert by José Luis Jaén 'Of Love and Roots' stands out, taking place on October 2 at the Antonio Gala Municipal Theatre, coinciding with the 96th anniversary of Antonio Gala's birth. In November, the musical programme includes the World Flamenco Day at the Municipal Library and the show 'A Kiss and a Flower. A Tribute to the Voice of Nino Bravo', on November 7 at the Antonio Gala Theatre.
The theatre will play a prominent role with performances such as 'Guard Duty Comedian', by José Luis Calero, and 'The Thirteen Roses'. Additionally, the play 'A Tree So Leafy That It Doesn't Let in the Light', by local playwright Manuel F. Tirado, will be staged on October 23 and 24 at the Antonio Gala Municipal Theatre.
"This is yet another demonstration of the Culture Delegation's commitment to showcasing and providing space for the talent of our locality," says the Councillor for Culture, Marina Maldonado.
Literature will feature book presentations and literary meetings, such as the poetic gathering 'Different. Lorca, 90th Anniversary', the presentations of 'Image and Poetry. The Pulse of Memories', by Francisco Cabrera, and 'Sonnets of La Zubia', as well as the cycle 'Carmen Vega and her work The Journey of Veronal', included in the programme of the Málaga Provincial Council.
Children will enjoy storytelling sessions like 'A Rare Bug', by La Seño de los Cuentos, and 'Alma's Journey', led by Elena López and María Díaz. In November, the traditional Santa Cecilia Concerts will be held, organised by local groups and associations.
The programme includes two exhibitions: 'Between the Impatient Air', by the XXIV Promotion of the Antonio Gala Foundation, which can be visited until October 3 at the Municipal Library, and the exhibition for the 20th anniversary of the Municipal Oil Painting Workshop.
This initiative is supported by the Málaga Provincial Council and the Antonio Gala Foundation for Young Creators. The Culture Delegation has announced that the programme for cultural workshops for autumn and winter will be revealed soon.
