The City Council of Vélez-Málaga has opened the application period for bars and booths at the Real Feria de San Miguel 2026. Applications will be accepted from August 10 to September 7.

The City Council of Vélez-Málaga has published the rules governing the allocation of bars and booths at the Real Feria de San Miguel 2026. The application period will be open from August 10 to September 7, both dates inclusive, according to the official document released by the Department of Popular Traditions.

Applications must be submitted through the electronic registry of the council, at the municipal electronic headquarters, or in person at the registration assistance offices for those not required to interact electronically with the administration. The standard form will be available at the headquarters.

The required documentation varies depending on the type of installation. For bars, among other things, the applicant's ID, registration in the business census, registration in the Municipal Register of Associations, the authorization act of the entity, the statutes (if it is the first time), the civil liability insurance policy with a minimum coverage of 301,000 euros, the electrical bulletin, the butane gas certificate, the food handling certificate, the price list, the complaints book, a deposit of 300 euros, and a donation of another 300 euros are required.

Those applying for booths must also provide a validated technical project, a fire department report, an emergency and self-protection plan, and a safety and solidity certificate. In the case of the Night Fair booths, the corresponding technical project must also be submitted.

The deposit of 300 euros will be refunded at the end of the occupation, once municipal services have verified compliance with the conditions of the authorization. If there are any vacant booths or bars, the Department of Popular Traditions would open an additional period for submitting applications.

The council emphasizes that the aim of these rules is to ensure safety in the various areas of the fair and to organise the preparatory work for the event, which will take place in September. Associations and groups interested should keep in mind the deadlines and requirements to avoid missing the call.

For more information, interested parties can consult the electronic headquarters of the City Council of Vélez-Málaga or contact the municipal citizen service offices.
