On August 17, the enrolment period begins for former students to register for the workshops at the Casa de la Cultura in Fuengirola. New students will have to wait until September 1.
On August 17, the enrolment period for the 2026/27 courses at the Casa de la Cultura in Fuengirola opens. Students who were enrolled during the 2025/26 academic year can formalise their registration from August 17 to 28, between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
The Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, has detailed that enrolment will be conducted in person at the Casa de la Cultura itself. Those joining for the first time will need to collect an appointment number starting from August 10, which will indicate the day and time for registration.
“From August 17 to 28, the enrolment period will be open for students who were enrolled in the previous academic year. It will be at the Casa de la Cultura, from nine in the morning until one-thirty,” Romero stated. The councillor clarified that those who have only attended summer workshops do not qualify as former students.
The educational offer for the upcoming course includes English, Spanish, German, Ballet, Ballroom Dancing, Latin Dancing, Sevillanas, and Bookbinding and Restoration. In the case of Sevillanas and Latin Dancing, the maximum duration will be two courses, with recognition of seniority from the 2025/26 academic year.
To formalise enrolment, it will be necessary to present an ID and pay by bank card. Only one registration per person and workshop will be allowed, and those wishing to join two groups of the same modality will have to wait until the course has started, provided there are available places.
Former students who do not formalise their enrolment before August 28 will lose their priority right and will have to register as new students, also collecting their appointment number from August 10. The period for new registrations will open on September 1, as long as there are vacant places.
Regarding the Access to University and Vocational Training workshop, Romero indicated that its situation is pending the return of its instructor. “We will set aside detailed information about this workshop for now until we are clear whether the teacher will return and, if not, who will replace her,” he explained.
Additionally, the municipal cultural facilities will host privately managed workshops such as Printmaking; Ceramics, Sculpture and Pottery; Music School; Furniture Restoration and Recycling; Painting; Photography; and Yoga and Psychophysical Training. In these cases, interested parties should contact the responsible manager of each workshop directly.
