Manolo Barón and four councillors visited the team and renewed their memberships for the 2026-2027 season. The team debuts in the league on August 30 against UD Ibiza.

The Mayor of Antequera, Manolo Barón, showed his support for Antequera Club de Fútbol on Thursday with a visit to the team and coaching staff at the Municipal Stadium El Maulí. The mayor, accompanied by councillors Juan Rosas, Elena Melero, Antonio García Mendoza, and Marta González, took the opportunity to renew their memberships for the 2026-2027 season.

The municipal delegation arrived early in the morning, just before the training session of the white-and-green team. During the meeting, the institutional representatives greeted players and coaches, conveying the city's support in a highly demanding category such as the group 2 of Primera Federación.

Antequera CF will once again be the sporting ambassador of the city across Spanish geography, and the Town Hall wants to be close to the team in this new challenge. The renewal of memberships by the mayor and councillors aims, according to municipal sources, to set an example and encourage fans to support the team at El Maulí throughout the season.

Preseason schedule and league debut

The white-and-green team is finalising its summer preparation with two home fixtures before the official start of the competition. The first test will be this Saturday, August 8 at 20:00 hours, when El Maulí hosts the Trofeo Ciudad de Los Dólmenes against Granada CF. A week later, on Friday, August 14 at the same time, it will be the turn of the Trofeo Ciudad del Torcal against Real Jaén.

The league debut is set for Sunday, August 30 at 19:15 hours, with UD Ibiza visiting the Municipal Stadium El Maulí in the first match of the championship. This will mark the start of a season in which Antequera CF will seek to establish itself in the third tier of Spanish football.

The renewal of memberships by the municipal officials comes at a time when the club is working to fill the stands of El Maulí. Fans who have not yet processed their membership can visit the stadium offices and the club's official channels to formalise their registration before the start of the season.
