The director expressed satisfaction with the work done in the summer market, highlighting the club's ability to retain key players. “Despite the difficulty of keeping players who increase in value each season, Antequera remains an attractive destination for experienced players and for others looking to relaunch their careers,” Aguilar noted. He also emphasised the competitiveness of the group and the intensity shown in training since the start of pre-season.
The continuity of a large part of last season's core is, for the sporting director, one of the keys to the project. Players like Quintana, Antón, Juan Aspra, Luismi, and Moha will remain with the white-and-green discipline, which, combined with the continuity of the coaching staff, offers “guarantees to face a demanding season” in Primera Federación. Aguilar also highlighted the support of the club's owner, attributing the project's stability to their decision not to facilitate the departure of contracted players. “This firmness has made Antequera gain respect in the market and compete on equal terms with clubs of greater stature,” he stated.
Regarding the goalkeeping position, following Samu's injury, Aguilar has expressed full confidence in Dani Alcover, although he has indicated that the club is finalising the signing of another goalkeeper to compete for the position.
