The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area strengthens the service to the fairground in the capital with departures from Las Lagunas. There will be three outbound trips and six return trips, the last at 6:15.
The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area has launched a special bus service for the Málaga Fair, which starts this week. The aim is for residents of the province to attend the capital without the need to use their cars and to avoid parking issues.
From Mijas, line M426, departing from the Ford Roundabout in Las Lagunas, will have three outbound services to the fairground: at 22:05, 00:05 and 02:05. The return from the fair will start at 22:10 and will continue with six shifts, the last at 06:15, aimed at those who wish to stay until the end.
In addition to Mijas, the special service will also cover other points in the province such as Fuengirola, Torremolinos and other municipalities, with round trip frequencies adapted to the fair's schedule. The timings and routes are designed for both those who want to return early and those who prefer to extend the night.
The Consortium reminds users that they can benefit from discounts using the Transport Card of the metropolitan area. All details regarding schedules, fares and zones are available on the official website of the organisation, ctmam.es.
This measure aims to promote public transport during the fair days and reduce the influx of private vehicles in the vicinity of the fairground, one of the most congested areas during this time. Residents of Mijas thus have a convenient alternative to enjoy the festivities without worrying about their car.
